Default 2010 heated mirror peeling/brown???

woke up nice and early to go hunt sunday morning so i kicked on the heated mirrors to defrost, thought nothing of it

after getting out of the stand at noon i came back to my truck, did what i had to do then i looked in the mirror, it had a brown tint to it and the bottom was peeled looking

done a few searches online but really havent came aross anything like this and of course i called my local dodge service dept and still waiting on that return phone call

The mirror glass itself? Seems pretty odd. Got pics?

if it's out of warranty, the heated mirror itself is relatively inexpensive; less than $50. it's also easy to swap out.
Part Number - 68050299AA (heated)

Regular warranty is out but I have an extended warranty, for 50 bucks I'll buy new glass, I've already pulled the old one out.....my thing is what is causing it

And thanks for the part number!!

I have noticed the same issue and don't know if I have ever had to turn on my heated mirrors. I have the sliding back glass, no heating element on it, so it's only the mirrors turning brown at bottom... like they may be stuck on maybe??

I have about the same thing. Brown spots on the bottom, no peeling. Just noticed it one day a few months ago.

Is your mirror also self dimming? if it is, it will be expensive through the dealership. My mirror was clipped by a passing vehicle and it cost $380 to replace just the glass.
