Here's how much room is in my FULL SIZE BUICK

To give you an idea on the overall size of my Buick compared to the Truck.

I realize it's a different car seat, but to prove that they have the same Front clearance, here is a pic of both(yes my driver seat is further back, I am merely compariung the front distance of the 2 carseats to show they are the same dimensionsback-front)

As you can see, my Truck has more room than my 2003 Buick LeSabre which is a fullsize car.

Nice carseat dirty dog. Costco? I have the same one. How did you get it to sit so upright? looks like there is a gap on the bottom in the back. Mine sits much more incline than that and you definately have more room there than I do. Whats your trick? Thx

Made going places super easy. Well worth the money IMO.
We still have that infant seat, 2 bases and stroller if you were interested. Top of the line components. We dont use them anymore. Still have the boxes too..lol

When we went to forward facing, different story. Those are permanent. We dont remove them.
We have the same setup. Its a breeze putting the seat in the wife's car. Just tough in the ram. Turning the seat sideways to fit past the seat back, then rotating 90 degrees while leaning forward 3 feet over the backseat isn't the easiest with 35 pounds in your hand. It would help if I was shorter and didn't need my front seat all the way back.

The cheaper one that you are referring to that has the gap in the back was a $100 Sams club seat. I used it for a while and now it's used for anyone who watches my son(i/e. mother/father..etc) i hated it. The fukin handle rods always rattled. i ended up wedging a piece of cardboard back there.
The nicer one in the Buick is a Chicco from BuyBuy Baby . I used a couple coupons we got in the mail for a nice discount. It has hefty side impact protection but the seatbelt tightn is a PITFA. Very stiff.

Anyways, the gap. yeah, thats how I mounted it. I put a heavy bath towel folded up behind the back of the base. Otherwise, it pushes forward and then it creates a much larger gap in the lower back and then doesnt allow the level marker to be correct. The towel corrects it. I strapped that sucker using the latches and seatbelt. Doesnt move at all. I put that car seat in 6 different cars, not one did it fit properly. All had that gap and never sat level like it should. Towel was a perfect fix.

2011Black Ram, do you now want the seat next to the door? I know my wife put our son in the middle in her Forester. She had the same reach problem and that's basically a 4wd car.
I would recc'd going through the pass side to make it easier as I'm sure the pass seat isn't as far back.

Thanks for the offer but I'll have to pass. We have three bases in different vehicles so we can use our current seat in all of them. He's getting big enough we should be facing him forward soon too. Thanks though.
