To tune, or not to tune? (HemiFever)
Good information in this thread as I am looking at the In Tune myself.
Sean, I didn't realize you were literally just across town. I'm in Knightdale. Anyway, are the catalogs enough or does a dyne provide that much more info. I would guess so but then I don't know exactly how limited the tuners are.

I didn't realize that happened. Auto correct is not always what it's cracked up to be. Anyway, I was asking if the data logs were good enough or does the dyne make that much more of a difference?
Hope you get your answer.
Wanted to add, awesome color. The same color as my R/T!

Just did the hemi fever tuning on my 2011 Hemi before Christmas
WOW what a difference.
Best Times to Date
0-60
6.29seconds in 330 feet stock tune
5.59seconds in 291 feet Hemifever tune
1/4mile
14.953 @ 91.7MPH Stock tune
14.38 @ 95.5MPH Hemifever tune
My dyno's showed me exactly as he stated between about 3200-5000rpm picked up between 18-38HP on 93 tune and peak went up by 10RWHP.
Worth Every Penny !

I take it these figure are just data logged numbers as far as your 0-60 and quarter mile times and not real world. Am I correct?
The original numbers are actual real world from Cayuga Raceway outside Toronto Ontario.
The diablosport Actually shows very very similar results to these when running on stock tune.
The updated number yes are from Data logging and apps on the Trinity.
Going to the Track in April when the weather starts cooperating around here.
But I am very confident that the track will back up these claims. Truck is unbelievably faster with the hemi fever tune.
And the Dyno was real world dyno from before and after not guessing...

So I spend plenty of time above 3000rpm.. also helped with the street manners of the high stall by providing a little more umph below 3000rpm..
Bottom line is hemifever tuning is in my opinion meant for racing not for saving gas and sunday driving.. although it does help with both of those as well hehe
I ended up buying the DCX inTune 1000 for my Ram, I just received it today. I just waned to take a minute to recognize Sean for being so quick to help me out and get my order properly adjusted and shipped in an extremely timely manner. He's been a huge help with answering every question I've had. Good job on focusing on customer service, it really speaks for your values and dedication towards being one of the best tuners available to us!
(Back to my story) I plugged it in, it downloaded to my PC, I opened up the .exe file and it updated automatically. I then proceeded to follow the steps associated with installing the initial tune. It took about an hour or so. After that I went through the settings and disabled MDS, increased the throttle booster to max, and increased the top speed limiter. The tune I chose to utilize is the 87 octane with 89 fuel. It seems like it accelerates a bit quicker in the 30-65 mph range, and even though I disabled MDS the ECO light still comes on but it doesn't sound like its active. It just doesn't seem to feel that much different to me. I've sent an email to Sean at Hemifever and am currently awaiting a response, I will update as I receive information.

Moparman,,,you probably aren't going to notice much difference on the low octane tunes. Put a 93 tune in there and try it out, or better yet get Sean to write you a custom tune, also do you have any other mods on your truck....ie intake exhaust E fan?
I know, Sean was on vacation so I was just working with what I had. He sent me a custom 89 and 91 tune this morning so I've got those loaded up in my tuner. Next time I go out I will load up the 89 and take her for a run. As far as additional modifications, all I have is a flowmaster 44 muffler welded in. From my research, these trucks are pretty high flow already.
