Default To tune, or not to tune? (HemiFever)

I've been in contact with Sean at HemiFever and he has informed me that the 2014 Ram HEMI w/6spd is now supported. I have one in the cart on hemifevertuning.com and I just don't know if I want to spend $489 on it. Are there any guys with the 4th gen Rams that have any experience with the Diablo DCX InTune I-1000, or even any tuner at all. I'm wondering if it's enough to jusify the expense. Being able to disable MDS and raise the top speed limiter alone are enough for me to really want this. If I can squeeze out another 20hp, I'd be pretty dang happy.

How much HP and torque increase is he saying you'll get ? Is it lower in the RPM range and therefore more useable ? Can he disable the MDS and raise the speed limiter as you want? Those answers should tell you wether it is worth it. JMO

He says that even with his programming that all of the parameters that are changeable through Diablo alone are still the same, just the tuning MAP is his custom programming instead. The details also state that with a 91 tune, I could expect from 13-35HP/TQ and with a 93 tune, though I don't know where to get that, could get from 15-40HP/TQ.

Brutal. That would leave me at 425 to 430 at the crank. And Since i've been emailing you Sean, you can reconfirm that I will be able to disable MDS, and raise my top speed limiter?

Remember that's not PEAK hp numbers to add to the existing rated amount. That's power at 3000 to 5000 rpms.

yes you can turn mds on/off and raise the speed limiter. There's no trans control for 2014

Oh der thats right, I missed that. I was just hit with a nice number and my mind went crazy. As far as transmission control, I feel like it already runs pretty well from the factory.

I am running only a canned SC 93 tune and it really woke things up, but reducing the TM to 8% really helped as well. Even the canned 93 tune's from Diablo or SC can put you north of 430 Crank HP so I think the Hemifever tune could easily best that. Will you be able to get before / after Dyno numbers when this is done?

Just did the hemi fever tuning on my 2011 Hemi before Christmas
WOW what a difference.
Best Times to Date
0-60
6.29seconds in 330 feet stock tune
5.28seconds in 273 feet Hemifever tune

1/4mile
14.953 @ 91.7MPH Stock tune
13.925 @ 97.6MPH Hemifever tune

My dyno's showed me exactly as he stated between about 3200-5000rpm picked up between 18-38HP on 93 tune and peak went up by 10RWHP.

Worth Every Penny !

I don't have access to a dyno or else I would be all over it. I'm just trying to get some real world experience.
