Default High Beams No worky

2010 Ram Sport with those front air dam fog (?) lights that are activated when you push the head light ****.

I seem to have no high beams.

Fogs off and high beams selected......the blue dash idiot light comes on but no actual high beams.

Same with the fogs on...no high beams.

Is there some relay to look for?

Of course....I'm an idiot....I haven't checked the fuse bank yet.

Let me do that first.

And once you check that see if you have power at the bulb socket. It is possible you simply have two dead bulbs. It's not unusual for bulbs to die at close to the same time when they were installed new at the same time.

I guess I could look all day for a fuse and never find one for the head lights.

Apparently controlled by the Totally Intergrated Power Module (TIPM).

Dealer only fix?

Check for power @

Left high beam= White/Lt Green

Right high Beam= White/Grey

There is also a chance the switch isn't sending a high beam request to the TIPM. You need a scan tool to see that though.

OK...I'll check that next.

While I have you on the phone......the courtesy light (blue) in the driver's side outside mirror (underneath) is not working either.

Apart from a hammer....how do I pop that lens off without pooching it?

Please forgive me.......I can wrench but this truck is pretty new to me.

.
Here's a good write up on the "puddle light" nested in the mirror assembly.
