Default 4th Gen Gear Swap

Has anyone had a gear swap done in a 2014 ram 1500 4x4 with the hemi? Im getting gears put in and i ordered 4.56 for my 35in tires from the stock 3.55 and 20in 33s. I was wondering if im gonna have any problems with my shift points and if the 4.56 are to steep for my 6 speed auto trans final gear? Also if the traction control and electronics will be ok?

Seems there are lots of posts about gears but no real details about 4th gens. Im seeing people say 4.56s are awsome and people saying 4.56s are horrible. Im just seeing the final drive gear is .67 and want more than stock power!

Why would you go ahead and have a gear swap done without doing your due diligence , seems like you have some doubts with your decision.

I have looked over hundreds and hundreds of gear pages for months, everything on them is opinions. I have not found true facts or number to prove gear swaps where better or worst. I have calculated everything i can to figure what i want. Everyone swears by 4.56s and i was going to put those in my last truck but traded it in.

Don't fear the gear, going to 4.56s with a 35" tire to the transmission would be like running 3.92s with a 32.5" tire if you do the math.

Just make sure of two things.

The shop you choose has experience setting up ring & pinions. This is one of those that a book can't teach, it's a feel thing to set up the backlash just right.

Brake them in properly - lots of short heating/cooling cycles...
