Might be needing AirBags in the back.
We recently picked up a new camper with a dry weight of 6500lbs and a 650lb hitch weight. The camper is level since we are using the Equalizer 12000b 4point hitch, however the truck now points upwards with some squat in the back.. I would like to level the back out so it rides level again like when its not towing. Always, I have seen a lot of brands out there and wanted to know what to be aware of and such.. And what is a good choice. I i would really like to have an onboard compressor so I don't have to pump them up manually with my compressor or stop at a gas station etc.
I would prefer the coils based ones but that may not be the right choice since I don't know what i need etc...
Thanks for your advice.

Is the back of the truck lower than the front or is it just squatting down enough to be level with the front (since it is higher by default when unloaded)? I've had a trailer with no equalizer and over 11K total weight on before and it only made the truck level out (I only had to pull it a short distance on back roads at slower speeds, so hold back your comments about how dangerous and awful it was, Mr. Internet policeman, whoever you are...). If that load didn't point the headlights to the sky I'd be very surprised if a 7500# camper would.
If you truly want airbags, I'd avoid the Firestone ones. I had a set on (and replaced under warranty several times) and they sucked. They wouldn't hold air and the bags actually cracked.

The total trailer weight doesn't really matter, just his tongue weight. If I attached a trailer with a D10 dozer on it to my truck it might not make the truck squat at all if the dozer weight was far enough back on the trailer
Sorry about those pictures those were taken friday when the camper came home. They were more of a WOW we have a new camper pic. then I noticed i was squatting while the camper is level. So should I have the dealer readjust it? The camper has to go back anyways for a few minor repair issues discovered this weekend.

Better off taking out the manual and adjusting it yourself, then you can play with the settings and find one that feels best.
Obviously. In the pic I posted the trailer had adequate tongue weight of around 10%, which means probably 1000-1100 lbs. Which would be way more than the OP's camper. And I wasn't using a distributing hitch.
here is a dumb question, but if if the truck is sagging and the camper is not would that cause the camper to tilt backwards to bring the truck up? I always had a lite camper so it was never an issues?
Just wondering what might be the issue? Shank is to low? Maybe the shank is OK but the bars are to low on the bracket?
