You don't have MDS so that eliminates a lot of things but servicing the transmission shouldn't affect the engine. If the trans is slipping, then you should see the RPMs all over the place.

If the trans is slipping, it should be covered under warranty.

I didn't buy it new..I'm 2nd owner so idk if it's covered..ND idt it's slipping bc when it shutters the rpms don't bounce around..why would it go away when in tow mode? If I floor it it will pull then it's like it bogs down then will pull hard again on and off all the way through the rpms

The 5 year 100k mile warranty goes with the truck. It doesn't matter if you are the original owner. This is the power train warranty, so your issue may not be covered.

Hi Wilson01960196--the 5 year, 100K mile powertrain warranty transfers to the second owner, so if you have concerns with your engine, transmission, and parts associated with the powertrain, they will still be under warranty as long as you are within the 5/100. If you want to take a look at your warranty, you can head here: http://www.ramtrucks.com/en/warranty/. Just put in your model year and vehicle make, and then you can see what's covered. Let me know if you have any questions, or would like assistance making an appointment.

Could the loss of power and hesitation jus before shifting be caused by the tranny? I really wanna get this figured out. It's jus like the truck has no power no matter how far u push the pedal then it'll hesitate and pull hard for a few seconds.

OK, got some codes for this problem. Intermittent multiple misfires (PO300 and 0308) and slow response from o2 senssor b2s1 (P0153).

Replaced both sensors on bank 2 and replaced all plugs and coil packs.

Still get same codes and same problems as described above.

Now I am really scratching my head!

I have a 2013 Ram with a 4.7l. I only have 8 spark plugs, or am I missing something?
