Same truck, same issues! I finally replaced all o2 sensors (all 4), cleaned out the throttle body, replaced EGR Valve = Problem Solved!
It took me a year after replacing all 16 plugs, necessary coils, radiator, MAP Sensor, valve cover gaskets, hoses, belt, water pump, water pump gasket kit and seals... etc...
Im sure replacing everything helped but after replacing the EGR Valve, for the first time I have driven worth no smoke and / or hesitation.

I also have a 13 Ram with a 4.7 I bought used about a year ago. Not knowing when the last time the plugs were changed I decided to replace them and the wires. After reading some helpful posts on this forum I decided to go with NGK LZFR5C-11 standard copper plugs for the Intake (upper) 8. You will need a very thin walled socket for removing these plugs. I had to special order one (link below). Make sure you blow off the the area around the coil packs so junk doesn't fall into the opening. I also cleaned the MAF (mass air flow sensor) and the throttle body while I was in there. It's much more responsive now. Cleaning the MAF is a quick and cheap thing you can try first.

I also have a 2013 Ram with the 4.7 I bought used about a year ago. I recently changed the intake (upper) 8 plugs, the wires, and cleaned the MAF (mass air flow sensor) and throttle body while I had everything opened. I went with NGK LZFR5C-11s after reading reviews/recommendations from this forum (thanks). You need an extra thin walled socket to extract these plugs. I tried 3 different sockets but had to
order the CTA 2380 (link below) which worked like a charm. You should blow out all the dirt and debris around the coils before removing them. The plug from cylinder #7 had a little ash on it and I'm not sure if it's due to being a Bosh or debris falling in when the previous owner changed them.

My truck is a lot more responsive and seems to run better overall. I would suggest cleaning the MAF first, it's cheap and easy to do at home.

You have 8 on the intake side (upper) which are underneath the coils and 8 exhaust side (lower) that are below the valve cover. The 8 intake plugs are copper and gaped at .044", the exhaust plugs are Iridium and gaped at .052". You will need a very thin walled socket for removing the intake plugs. This is what I ordered and it worked great.

Default Dealer shop? Not a chance

Both of you guys are asking for help with very general descriptions of the issues and are not providing much background. Are the trucks stock? what has been done to them?

JimStinson, you need to open your own thread or this one starts getting very hard to follow.
My dealer couldn't diagnose a brake caliper problem with blue rotors, burnt rubber stuck to rotors, and burnt fluid dripping from what remained of the seals. I wouldn't take a vehicle to them to get it WASHED!!

That said, moving to another thread, although not sure why I was singled out.

I have a 2012 1500 reg cab longbed with a 4.7, literally just got it home this morning. 93k miles.
I originally test drove it a couple of weeks ago, and been comparing others found online, talking to my wife, talking to the bank, and just got it this morning.
There's 20 miles on it from when I 1st got in it to test drive it 2 weeks ago and what it has here in my driveway today. I'm ~9 miles away from where I bought it.
When I test drove it all was fine, drove great. Today on the way home with it the truck started bogging, I had to give it more gas each time I took off with it and unlike 2 weeks ago I got over 60 and had an increasing shake/shimmy,
I got it home and put it up on my lift (yes I have my own) and the front tires wheels were smoking and I couldnt spin the front wheels by hand with truck hanging in the air. The front calipers literally "just" locked up!
Pads and rotors very new looking, have been done recently. (but not while the stealership I got it from, had it) I wonder if you might have something similar?

Default I’ve taken to a dealership

I have this same problem. It happened in an instance. I hate telling people when it happen cause they think I’m full of **** after.

I drove through what I thought was a puddle. It was essentially a lake. Hit it doing 45ish came out doing like 15. Hit the water hard enough to blow my exhaust off from where the y pipe slip goes back to the muffler.

after the puddle my truck was bogging, weird throttle response, horrible accel, have to put petal to the metal to get good reaction, everything that was said above.

have a 2013 ram 1500. Took to dealership. Even took the service manager on a test drive to show. He felt the weirdness too. Left truck with them. After two weeks I got kind of pissed off hadn’t heard from them. Called dealership asking what was happening. They said, there im are no issues with your truck. It’s sitting in the back. ****ers didn’t even call me
to say they were basically not even going to loook at it, it just sat there. They probably hooked it up to the diagnose tool and nothing popped up so they said **** it and never even called me.

been a year and a half and my truck is still ****ed up. My wife drove
it and said she had trouble getting over 40
on the highway, so she literally drove 40 on the highway.

**** the people saying to take it to a stealership, if the computer don’t tell them what to fix they’re useless. I am also trying to figure out what the hell is wrong with my truck and seem to be no answeres.
