Read out in overhead console
I have a 2009 Ram 3500 SLT, Lone Star edition. While the computer readout (outside temperature, compass, mileage, etc) in the overhead console is fine at night, it is nearly unreadable in the daylight. Does anyone have a solution to that problem? Maybe a shield of some type? Or am I the only one that has this problem?
Yeah, that's true Blue. But even at its brightest level, it just can't be read in bright daylight. I don't know, maybe I'll try some polarizing film over the glass. I would also try to construct a shield around it, but I don't know how to take the console cover off.

Has this just started happening recently with your 3500, or has this been a constant concern for you since purchase?

Kori~ I bought the truck in July and it's been a problem all the time I've had it. In fact, when test driving with the previous owner, I mentioned it and he responded, "Yeah, but you can see it at night." Which is true, but I want to see the information in the daylight as well!

There is no problem with the display--it's just a bad design that I hoped someone would have addressed and shared a solution with me. But anyway, do you know how that console cover comes off. If I can get it off, I think I can make some sort of shield that would keep the glare off.
