Default FINALLY: Buying New

I finally have the wherewithal to buy a truck new.

My 2010 Sport is still worth some decent money and Chrysler is giving 25% off. Somehow, my work is affiliated with Chrysler Canada (who knew??) and I get an additional discount.

So....I have on order.....a 2017 RAM Rebel ......black on Silver.

Schwing!

I am leaving behind an increasingly problematic truck. 5 diff rebuilds, headlighting issues, driveline vibrations and the beginnings of some rust in really weird spots......including the stupid parking brake assy.
And a new problem....randomly locking the doors and self starting. Fun!

Let's see if I have better luck starting at mile 0.

I treat my vehicles well.....maybe that will be the difference.

So....I received a call today from my salesman.

My ordered 2017 will not be included in the remaining 2017 builds.

Hard to believe, really. Ordered in May and now they are talking 2018.

So...they are searching high and low for an existing 2017 REBEL similar to what I ordered.

OR....I pay more and wait until September for a 2018.

I'm NOT HAPPY.

I always buy impulsively. Waiting until September is beyond the parameters of impulsiveness..

Well....they did build it!
And I took delivery yesterday.
My 2010 Ram had a lien against it....so they say......so I went to the dealer I bought it from and the lien had been released 5 years ago...before my ownership time. This little hiccup worried me as my deal was already in place and my new Rebel was mocking me.
It all worked out and it now sits in my driveway.
