Adding Bluetooth to REN Media Center
For those interested, I have found a bluetooth adapter that works with my REN stereo.
2009 Ram Laramie
RENS Media Center 430 CD/DVD/MP3/HDD
and you will need the factory ipod adapter that runs into the upper glove box
I have tried quite a few but the only one that works was purchased at Office Depot:
Aluratek 30-Pin Bluetooth® Audio Receiver Dock
http://www.officedepot.com/a/product...udio-Receiver/
It was easy to pair and starts every time you switch to ipod on the media center and connects without any additional steps.
There is no steering wheel or head module control of playback but it works for streaming music, stored music, podcasts, tv etc. You will also have to hit play again after turning off the ignition.

Bought one to try with my RER on my 2010. I have the plug in the glove box and got it to pair but I can't get it to play. I don't have an iPod input on my screen.
I have AM, FM, SAT, HDD, CD, AUX. Any ideas?

What soft button do you use to play the device connected to the 30 pin cord in the glove box?
I have never used the 30 pin connection to hook up anything except this device. Normally, the only soft keys I have are the AM, FM, Sat, CD, HDD and Aux (if something is plugged into the Aux). When I plugged into the 30 pin with the blue tooth device, it powered up and I was able to blue tooth connect to my iPhone7. Since I did not have an Aux plug in the Aux jack, the displayed soft keys were: AM, FM, Sat, CD and HDD. I see no soft key way to connect to the 30 pin.
Perhaps the RER radios do not have the ability to use the 30 pin connection in the glove box. Anyone else with a 2010 and an RER radio use the 30 pin?

I wonder why they would put the cord in if you cant use it? Have you tried plugging in an old iphone or ipod directly to the 30 pin connector?

The older radios don't seem to support any easy fix for bluetooth streaming.
