Smile No Front Parking Sensors on 1500 Laramie Longhorn

Hi everyone, I am new here, this is my first post after my introduction on the new members site.

My new 2017 1500 Laramie Longhorn is fully equipped - so far so good. But there are no FRONT parking sensors installed. I have the rear sensors and the camera. But the FRONT should be standard with the truck. Does anybody know the answer?

I bought this car in Germany where I live. It was manufactured in the US in June 2017. It might be a Canadian model since it has Kilometers and miles on the odometer. However, maybe it was made for Export, I don`t know. the dealer said this mondel has no FRONT sensors. It is not really that important to me but I would like to know the reason. Can anybody help???

Thanks a lot !!!

Martin.

https://www.ramtrucks.com/webselfservice/ram/index.html

go there and then to equipment listing, left side,,, just close canadian or american site box when you first go there put in your serial number and see what options are supposed to be on your truck

Yes its an option, my brothers 2015 sport has both front and rear park assist., I kinda thought the longhorn would have them as standard equipment, but seems like not

Well, it is Standard Equipment according to sales documents - apparently at least for models to be sold only in the US and probably in Canada and Mexico. However, my truck seems to be an export model for the EMEA and ROW regions. It also has what they refer to as a "Chile Country Code" and odometers in Km and Mls. Everything else is included. Interesting little detail though.

They are not standard equipment, like seat belts and air bags. The dealer has to order them with the truck as the most popular Laramie and Longhorn quick order packages do include front or back Park-sense by default. I just bought a '17 Laramie and was disappointed none of the Laramie or Longhorn's on the lot had Park-sense. So it very much varies by your dealer and what they commonly order.

My dealer moves tons of Big Horn models and he orders all of these with Park-sense. After that trim level he doesn't order Park-sense again till the Limited model.

So far I can't seem to find a parts list or details on adding Park-sense. It seems to be one of those hard or uncommon mods that don't get much discussion but I would very much like it back on my new truck.
