Battery Saver Mode, Front Park Sensor Issue
I have a Brand New 2017 Ram 2500 Cummins Turbo Diesel 4x4 Off Road. Not Quite 7500 KMs on it. Started it up last week after it sat in cold temps for a week and Battery Saver Mode pops up on screen, figured it was from sitting in cold. Took it for a drive for an hour hoping to charge up batteries. Didn’t come on next day. Today while driving Front parking sensor coming on and stays on when in drive, have to manually shut it off. Truck is clean, nothing on sensors. Any ideas or recommendations would be greatly appreciated before i take it to Dealership .
I definitely am taking it in, i wanted to arm myself with as much knowledge on the matter as possible so as to deflect the

There is nothing service writers hate more than a customer telling them how to fix the problem.
If you want to get the most from your service department..... tell the service writer exactly what the problem is, when it occurs, if it is constant, or intermittent..... and if you can produce the issue on demand. If it is an intermittent problem..... unless it is something that actually will set a code/log some info/whathaveyou, and it doesn't do it while at the dealership, they aren't going to be able to simply guess what the problem is, and throw parts at it. (though some will anyway...... or, if it is a problem that has cropped up before, and they found the fix.....) So, be prepared for that eventuality as well.......
Basically, your truck is still brand new.... so, getting documentation on any issues NOW, will only help you later, when the warranty expires, and it crops up again...... (if it does.) You can probably find a good deal of info on what various things are telling you, simply by reading thru the Owners manual. An often overlooked source.
I used to BE a service writer...... and the customers that exhibited the desired behavior generally were treated better than the folks that came in telling us how to fix/what to replace....... (and we tended to do exactly what they told us, and give their vehicles back.... and when they came back with the same problem, complaining we didn't fix it, we pointed out that we did exactly what they told us to do.......)
So, let the folks at the dealership do their jobs.
Don't try and do it for them. If you have issues, update this thread with the outcome (which we would appreciate seeing, good or bad.....), and we can probably come up with some suggestions for ya.
Oh, and: Welcome to DF!

Thanks for the advice guys, I have scoured the internet looking for any information on this issue and have seen many with the same problem yet no one seems to have a definitive answer as to what the actual cause is. In fact there are more horror stories of alternators burning up, batteries dying, and even a entire loss due to fire. I have no intention of asserting my personal opinion regarding the issue to the service department as clearly i have no idea what causes these issues, hence the reason i am on this forum. I will however post any result that they come up with. I spent ten years at the Windsor Assembly Plant putting minivans together, This is my second Ram, as my first was 1996 Dodge Ram 4x4 Sport, best vehicle i ever owned, sold it with 425000kms for 5k. This is kind of disheartening to spend the kind of money i did on this truck and have problems so early in. Again thanks for your advice. I will post the outcome. Merry Christmas
I wonder if the issues are in any way related to the alternator recall on some of the older vehicles? Sure sounds like it.......
Did your owners manual have any enlightenment on what the messages were about?

I ran the VIN an no recalls came up, as for owners manual i came across a very confusing definition of the Battery Save Mode but offered no reason or cause.
