Default 2014 Ram Help

Hey guys! I am new to the forum and seeking some advice here. I have a 2014 Big Horn with the v6. I have a vibration coming from the rear of the vehicle on the highway when traveling around 70mph-74mph I won't go faster do to the vibration and my MPG is terrible and just drops anytime around these speeds. Every once in a while I will get it at traveling at a slower speeds but not very often. The truck actually drives near perfect up to 55 mph. I am wondering if I could have a unbalanced wheel? Or something wrong with my rear end? I do have some beefed up tires. This is a new truck to me and it will be in the shop in a few days but, curious on what you guys think! I do not feel the vibration in the steering wheel.

Thanks!!!

I'd recommend starting with the wheels and balancing. You could try swapping the fronts and rears to see if that changes the vibration. While the wheels are off, check the brakes to see if they have any signs of uneven brake pad wear or excessive heat. Also do a good visual inspection for anything else that looks abnormal. This of course assumes you have an idea what you are looking at.

Hello Chretien02,

I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing a vibration with your Ram. Feel free to send us a direct message before you head into the dealer. We can get this over to a Case Specialist for further handling while you work with them.
