I've got a 2012 ram tradesman and low tire pressure light came on. How does it reset if it's the spare tire? I've got aftermarket tires n rims and they aren't low on air. And they don't have tps sensors on them. Any ideas?

 

If the computer isn't getting info from the sensors, it's gonna whine about it. Why didn't you put the sensors on the new wheels?

 

Yeah, if you did not install the sensors, the light will stay on.

 

Well tires were on truck when I got it. Been almost a year since I bought it. Never had issue till fri

 

Can’t explain that one. Fact remains, if there are no sensors, there is no way the computer can communicate. I guess it was just a matter of time. You can pull the cluster and remove the bulb.

 

Well I think I may found the issue. Had truck in to have tires rebalanced and looks like they must have aired a tire up and put a cheap/non sealing cap on valve stem. Other threads say that's a normal reason for suddenly coming on

 

Glad you got it fixed. I’d still like to know how it knew a tire was low without sensors. Lol

 

My guess is, the sensor are indeed in there.

 

Kinda guess so. I had only seen ones with metal body's before.
