Angry brake pedal click

2017 ram 1500. when i back out of a parking space and have my foot on the brake a little and go about 15 feet there is a click or pop i can feel in brake pedal. dealer has heard it and said it could be in brakes or suspension but they could not just start putting parts on it so they can not fix it without knowing what the problem is. so much for warranty. has 20,000 mi. also does it going forward. it only does it one time until you park or stop again.

Still under warranty? Then the dealer needs to expend some effort to FIND the problem. If it is easily reproduced, it shouldn't be that much effort to figure it out. If the dealer is being reluctant, then talk to chrysler corporate.

It could very well be something related to the ABS or stability control system running a self test. Can you hear the "click" or only feel it if your foot is on the brake pedal at the time? If you can hear it, does it also make the same click even if you are not resting your foot on the brake pedal?

I agree that since you're still within warranty, find another dealer willing to spend the time to properly diagnose. Or if you have only one local dealer and they are stumped, ask them to request a corporate field service engineer travel out to help diagnose the noise.

you can hear it ,feel it and the pedal moves. i don't think it does unless you foot is on pedal. it does it every time.
