If it’s just a regular key and you are trying to lock/unlock using the keyhole in the door, sounds like it was not cut correctly.

The physical key works, it’s the only way I can get in and out locking my truck.. electronically it’s not programmed or something cause I can’t lock it while I’m walking away with my clicker

You need two working keys/FOB’s to program another. If you dont have that, you will need a dealer or locksmith to program it.

Does the truck have factory remote start? If so can you start the truck with it? Are the batteries fresh inside the remote?

batteries are fresh inside the remote, I even cleaned the buttons inside because I seen it was a common issue for dirt and lint to cause issues

As stated before you need two remotes to program it. If you don't have that, you have to go to a dealer, locksmith, or a shop that can program your key to the computer.

you will need a security pin number to program it...not sure if anyone but the dealer can access the pin.
