it could be a "safety feature" but in just 5 min my truck isnt even warmed-up nor has it defrosted my windows
all i read is that it should run for 15 min for two times in a row by remote start before i have to start the truck manualy

both my rams run for 15 mins and only 2 times in a row,, then you need to use key. Maybe some sensor is shutting it down as it monitors the engine and fuel i have been told. My dealer told me than when fuel is below 1/4 tank it sometimes wont even start with the remote as it wont let the truck run empty of fuel

That's interesting. I agree with outlawstorm but my 2011 factory remote starts and runs for 10 minutes before shutting off. Five minutes is rather short. Good question but i have no idea.

Seems to me there should be a way to adjust that in the software somewhere. Probably hidden deep within many nesting menus...... 5 minutes just ain't enough. The engine isn't going to be warm, the windows will still be frosted, and the interior will still be an icebox.....
