Default DTC Codes

OK everyone, here's my issue lol

2016 Ram hemi I changed my tire size so now my speedo was off. I found how to get into the BCM to change the tire setting. I am using a Matco MaxMe tool. During this, I noticed the check engine light on. I checked the codes and cleared them and the light went off. I started the truck and the light was back on again. I checked the code, P1614-00 ECM reset. I went back into the ECM, TCM and BCM. The code is coming from the TCM but I cannot find any info about it. It is a permanent code. So now every time I start the truck the light is on. How do I get this code deleted? All of my research is coming up nil. I really don't understand why this happened in the first place. The tire size adjustment is done in the BCM. I hope you guys can help me out. Thanx!!!

Have a look here. That's an immobilizer code...... why you are getting it is a really good question. If the truck starts, runs, and drives..... something is definitely awry.

Another site seems to think its an ECU reset/recovery, whatever that means...... Wouldn't it be nice if codes were consistent across all manufacturers? Might wanna start looking for a service manual for your truck. Either that, or take it in to the dealer, and see what they have to say.

Ok..... Well, we know what the code is, according to theory, your tool should be able to tell you which module initiated the reset..... How you fix that, I really don't have any idea, and there is precious little information on the web for it....... Nothing useful that I could find.

Right... That's the problem that I'm at. It's coming from the TCM, that much I do know

Trans control module?

It would be nice if it would also tells us WHY that module wants a reset........

All this started after updating the PCM for larger tires??? Wonder if there is another step in there somewhere that needs to happen as well.
