Ram 1500 2011 High Beam

Default Ram 1500 2011 High Beam

Hi guys i have problem with my driver side high beam not working the passenger side is working just fine and i have 3.5v on the high beam pin on the drive side but never 12v wondering if you guys have any leads as to where i could look next

Have you looked at the headlamp connection? You could have either a bad ground or the pin is pushed out.

If the ground was bad the low beams wouldn't work, would you advise changing the female connector ?

If you have full voltage on passenger side and low voltage on drivers side I think I would start tracing the bad side back to see where your getting the voltage drop.

Try to keep it simple to start. Look at wire colour and tracer colour and see if you can follow it back towards fuse block and ipm. Haven't looked at my 2012 in a while. Is there a separate fuse and or relay for each headlight ??

The fuses is a good start. Are you using a test light, power probe or a DVOM to test for voltage?

I'm using a multimeter, do you know the fuse number i should be checking because the way it's identified in the tipm is confusing me.
