Question Crashed Ram 1500 Engine Swap?

I have an original post about this accident here: https://dodgeforum.com/forum/3rd-gen...gine-swap.html
Anyways, now that we have learned swapping to gen 3 would be nightmare I am actively searching on copart and other salvage websites for a gen 4 truck to get low at auction. Hoping to get one cheap with hail/paint damage or a blown engine because we want to swap the >50k mile engine and transmission and we have a paint booth.
This now brings me to my questions I just want to be sure of:
  • Can we swap the 5.7 litre v8 to any gen 4 1500 with this one being out of a 2012 specifically. Does the couple years difference up or down create more computer problems?
  • Do we have to swap the engine we have from a 2wd truck to another 2wd, I don't think so as it should just be plug and play with the engine to a 4wd drive truck, but I want to be sure cause in really I don't know much.
  • Would we be able to swap our transmission from our 2wd truck to a 4wd gen 4, that is our hope because it has such low mile or we can have it as replacement if the one on salvage truck we get fails instead of rebuilding.
I think that is about all for my questions, advise me of any issues we might run into swapping a 2012 5.7 litre v8 and the transmission of that truck (2wd) to most likely a 2010 or 2011 truck with a high mile or blown 5.7 v8 and possibly 4wd. Any help is appreciated!
