Default Key Fob issue or RKE Reciever issue?

I bought my 2015 Ram 1500 about 6 months ago. I have been dealing with a key fob problem. Both my key fobs for the RKE system seem to have a weak signal. They unlock the doors but sometimes it takes 50 plus presses of the button. The auto start worked when I first purchased the truck but obviously if I struggle to get the doors to unlock then I really struggle to get the auto start to kick on. I barely use the auto start feature now as it takes to long to get it to kick on. I have no engine lights on or error codes that would prevent the truck from turning over with the auto start. First thing I did was replace both batteries in both of my key fobs (OEM). Nothing changed. How often do key fobs go bad and is it entirely possible that I had two fobs go bad at the exact same time? If its not the fob then I can assume the RKE receiver isnt doing its job? Im lost.

Its possible. I am going to give them a call today. I was just trying to avoid getting charged a bunch of money if they didn't know the issue either. Thanks for the reply!
