Default Touch Screen display problems

All,

My display "pops" constantly, wanting to adjust the clock, switches radio stations, makes random calls when my phone is attached, etc. The system seems to act like a wire is loose and is causing a flicker, although the power does not go off and on. Has anyone else had this problem?

Thx.

Sorry, forgot to mention that this is on my 2018 Ram 1500 5.7. I hit a tree in the 95 (very sad day) and some lady on her phone T-boned my 300.

Gents,

Was my question unclear? the system just randomly change radio stations, switches to clock adjustment mode at its sole discretion. Anyone have any idea what is going on or should I be planning a trip to the dealer?

I must be the only person to whom this has occurred. Perhaps I will report back with news when an answer is found

I have seen this before on laptops, with a failing touch screen...... Any warranty left on the truck?

Thanks for the reply HeyYou, but I bought it used and the warranty is long gone.

I'll check the software version, it is likely out of date as I have never updated it. Perhaps I will get lucky.

Ill report back if anything works.

Well, it appears the SW is up to date. I guess the touch screen is breathing its dying breath...

Just to add to the story, it now randomly turns on and off. Curious issues, but I am concerned that it will cause the truck to shut down while driving. That would be interesting.

Any ideas, please forward. I guess the next stop for me is the dealer.

Yeah, unfortunately, all the electronics packed into vehicles these days, makes working on 'em kinda problematic, if you don't have the dealer resources......
