2012 1500 4wd slip\shutter\lurch? Help!
Hoping I can explain this properly to get an answer
When in 4wd there is a slight shutter\bump\lurch coming from the rear end. It's mostly noticable when I'm on snow and going from drive to reverse and vice versa. It almost feels like the rear tires slip just a little then it shutters then catches. I plow with the truck so I'm constantly going from drive to reverse and it happens almost every time.
I also notice when I'm coming to a stop while in 4wd. As I come to the stop I feel a slight lurch or push coming from the rear.
Someone suggested it may have something to do with then limited slip in the rear diff?
I'm by no means a mechanically inclined individual.
Hoping it's nothing but fear it's something.
Thanks in advance!

When you are in snow or ice, Put the transmission is a higher gear like 2nd or 3rd. I would also remove the inspection cover and see if the clips broke off from the carrier. And look at the driveshaft and make sure the pinion nut isn't loose.
