Hi everyone,
I have a 2010 dodge ram 1500 2wd 3.7 V6 with a motor that blew out the bottom end. It's junk. Will an older 3.7 ( say a 2002 for example) work? Engine compatibility seems to be 2009-2012 only. Is this because of accessories , sensors, bolt on parts that can be changed around or is it block/internal differences?

The compression ratio is different . Along with many other things. I'd suggest a 2006 or above to find the most compatible engine.
