AlfaOBD question
I have replaced all the lighting on my 2014 Ram 1500 with LED lighting, except for the front turn signals. I recently bought obdlink mx+ and alfaobd and set the turn signals/front parking lights to led. When I installed the led turn signal lights, the interior dash turn signals and mirror turn signals hyperflash. This only happens when the headlights are on, and I get a code stating I've got a bulb out. When the headlights are not on, they work great. Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a simple fix for this? TIA.

LED bulbs are significantly lower resistance than incandescents.... so, you either need inline resistors, LED bulbs with built in resistors, or, possibly...... get a solid state flasher unit for them...... Don't think that would solve the bulb out problem though. (just take care of the hyper-flash.)
For at least some model years of Rams there is a wire under the hood (maybe at the TIPM or fuse/relay panel) that needs to be grounded or disconnected or something to tell the truck that it's equipped with LED lights. I don't recall if I read that for my 2011 Durango or my 2014 Ram. I think it was for my Ram and I didn't spend too much time memorizing it because it came equipped from the factory with LED lights (Limited trim).
If I get some time this evening or next I'll see if I can track down the info in the service manual.

Well, if it's in the 2014 service manual I'm not coming up with the right terms to search effectively for it. The hits for things like "parking light" "LED" "turn signal" and "conversion" have too many hits for me to scroll through them all unfortunately.
