I understand the hemi runs hot and I understand if it climbs and maintains but it just keeps going even after slowing down. My thought was the electric fan isn’t kicking on at 220 however I have seen it kick on when using the AC so I know the low speed works. I saw that the 80amp fuse was missing and figured that was the issue but sounds like maybe not. Is it normal to have to slow down that much when towing what seems to be a rather lightweight trailer? I’m not trying to go 75 up the interstate but 40 seems pretty slow. Thank you so much for the information thus far. It’s greatly appreciated.
What year is you truck? How many miles on it? What was outside temp at the time? What does your trailer weigh?

2021 1500 classic SLT 4x4 with 66k miles. Trailer fully loaded weighs 5k pounds. Ambient temps here in northern AZ in summer are 90-100.

Not a surprise it's running hot then..... If the cooling system is in good working order, not sure there is much you can do. Make sure that the system is full, the mix is good, and the radiator isn't clogged up with bugs.

Usually if it's a fan issue it won't cool down at slower speeds because less air is flowing through the radiator. Not knowing what the steep grades are like that you're towing up in this hot weather I can't really comment on if that is to be expected or not. My 2014 Ram has never run hot with me towing my 7k travel trailer, but I've also not done that on steep hills or frequently when over 90 degrees outside. My Ram also has the towing package with improved cooling, but that might be more for the transmission and oil than for the engine.
