2015 Ram 1500 single cab 5.7 hemi
So starting issue was my truck kept not starting and key was getting stuck in win module, then truck died on me going down the road, everything went dead just out of the blue, finally got it working again but it was intermittent... turn key no dash lights no ding, no start. So I replaced the ignition/ win module. Installed new one, and even without programming it, was able to start my truck. Idles fine, but now I have no throttle response outside of maybe 2500 rpm. I can put it in gear and truck will roll under its own power, but pushing on accelerator does nothing. I found 3 burned out fuses F61, F51 or F57, and then the Horn fuse think its F47 or F43, regardless, what my concern is, is why did I not have to reprogram the ignition switch in order to start my truck, or if it may be the fact that it DOES need to be programmed, which is where the throttle response issue is coming from, maybe its causing it to go into limp mode. I always thought if it needed to be programmed then the truck wouldnt start. I also had an idiot work on it for me and he jumpers the starter solenoid relay and powered it with 12v and he said the fuse box started smoking. Im hoping he didnt fry my damned ecu or pcm in the process of whatever he did. In addition to all this, now my key will not turn the truck off, I have to disconnect the battery and touch the cables together to kill the motor. I'm at a loss.
