Default SOLVED: Short Runner Valve connector, how to get off

2013 Express Hemi 5.7. I'm trying to take off the intake manifold. I cannot for the life me get the short runner valve actuator disconnected from the wiring harness. I've attached two pictures, one with the red tab up and one with the red tab down. Should the red tab be up or down? Once the red tab is in the correct position how is this thing suppose to come off? Any help is greatly appreciated.

I think the tab needs to be out? To unlock???? Maybe. Whichever position that allows the retaining tab the most deflection is likely correct.

But.... with the red tab in the right spot, push the connector ONTO it's socket, press down on the release, then try and pull it off.

Red tab out (first pic), then either push down or lift black tab under it to disengage while pulling.

Thanks for the tips. Pushing onto the socket did the trick.
