I started this threat here (https://dodgeforum.com/forum/4th-gen...own-issue.html) under "Getting some drivetrain vibrations" but decided I should start a new one tiled better to reflect the issue - to better help anyone else searching or having this issue

In essence at specifc points in acceration, usually the mids and near shift points, I get vebrations. Giving staedy slight gas (like driving at steady speed in traffic), then accelrate a little Im getting noticeable vibrations.

So took it deaer several times and after invoking Dodge resolution group, the service manager who was very helpful, and 5 start master tech team dealers call, I got a final statement.

They said "This shutter is a known issue and is caused by the MDS and TCC (torque converter control) activating at the same time. We are aware of the widley reported problem but have no resolution available at this time."

Two options: gun it and drive fast all the time or learn to live with a shutter/droan in your $30,000 truck.

At least they took the time to come up with two options

My 09 does not seem to have this issue. The hemi is very smooth going in and out of 4/8 mode. I wonder what percentage of Rams - hemi have this issue? I hope Dodge finds a way to solve the issue for you that have it.

Default Update

Got a call from Chrysler today from their "Impartial Service Groups Investigation to Resolution Team". They are handing it over to the District Manager and Dealer. Should hear from DM in a couple days.

I had to laugh a little that the "Impartial Service Group" was turning it over - am I losing Impartiality?!? I hope to be wrong but not so sure how much impartiality I can get from a DM and Dealer.

I had a 2006 Dodge PU Hemi that Crysler/Dodge bought back for this exact issue...They all do it and I'm a firm believer this is why they put Lifetime powertrain warr. on these vehicles...

Working on the inside of the Big 3 you learn real quick there's motives behind Warr. it's easier to put such a program in place rather than re-call hundreds if not thousands of vehicles...
