If you buy a truck, aren`t you paying back intrest on your loan...? & Sales tax...???
Well then you`ll spend $50,000 grand on a top of the line truck today my friend.
That intrest & tax money you spent is also added to the cost of owning your truck.

Its called INVESTMENT and it costs you alot, it isnt free...!!!!!!!!
Not everybody qualifies for dirt cheap loans, and some are upside down in the loan, still money spent regardless any way YOUUUUUU look at it.

The loans and interest is not what you paid for the truck. That is what YOU paid for the money to buy the truck. What you paid is what the finance company cut a check to the dealer for and that does not include however upside down you were on the one you traded in.I paid cash for mine. Oh, and there's not many vehicles that are an INVESTMENT.You lose as soon as its titled.Thats called DEPRECIATION.

Default MDS Drone non issue

I have recently just posted my first thread on here titled ready to buy my first .....Dodge and my initial post was about concerns with the 5 speed trans not being a 6 speed and the MDS drone. In the end after searching these and other forums for weeks and test driving several Rams the MDS drone issue is ridiculous because the engine is running on 4 cylinders... If I pulled 4 spark plug wires I'm sure the vibration would be much worse, what do you expect. Also after searching for info on the transmission which was my issue not anyone else in this thread I realized that this transmission is a 6 speed already and has 6 fwd gears, and a computer flash might utilize them all at the same time. As for the poster who wants a Denali all I can say is that the Ram is hands down the best looking most bang for the buck truck out there. The Denali and all GM products are dated and will not be updated until 2014. Do you honestly think that other car companies are not using some chinese parts where they can get away with it? I no longer need help deciding on buying a Ram... I will own one soon. I looked at all the other trucks and they are..................junk

Either way you look at it, it shouldn't matter why the 50k cost, 50k is 50k COST for what ever reason, lol! Investments don't necessarily mean only to profit cash, you may want a new vehicle for the safety of your family or take you to work ON TIME, lol! Everyone knows it depreciates and becomes a yr old as soon as you title it, but it's still an investment whether you loose money on it or not. I paid 22,300 for my truck and about 3k TTL. It's worth about 17 to 18k if I'm lucky. But my truck paid itself in the first year...I call that a good investment. Sure...as the years go by it will become a liability having to sink money in it, but that's why you invest in a new truck if you choose to. In my case, I make twice the money with new equipment and dependable tools and I look good doing it! Even for some who merely use their truck to and from work, it's getting you there on time and helping keep your job, if it's getting your loved ones to the Doctors or the emergency room...SAFELY, it's an investment!

Money that goes out of your pocket is, in turn, SPENT MONEY reguardless. In the end result, you STILL spent money.
Sorry, but i will have to side with thread #104 (1954Radio) on this issue. (50k is 50k ...and I AGREE with 1954Radio)
Some spend less, some spend more, who really cares. If you bought your truck cheaper, well good for you.
Now lets get back on topic here.

I have to agree with most of what you wrote. I also agree that the dodge trans (545RFE) is actually a 6-speed.
Also, just to let you know, if the MDS vibes really bother you at times, just drop the shifter +/- into 5th, mds will be disabled.
Good luck with your new dodge ram, i think they ARE the best looking truck today.

Loans and borrowed money hasn't got a thing to do with PURCHASE PRICE.Its part of the process but that is not the price of that truck. Its the same with any purchase the TAX isn't part of the selling price.Chezz.

I don't know what planet you were born on, but here on earth "TAXES" have always been part of my purchase price (except for when I was in the service). When I buy 200$ in groceries that's almost 20$ in taxes for 182$ in groceries. So like it or not...it's a "PURCHASE" price of 200 out the frigin door. And loans or borrowed money has everything to do with your purchase price. As in Chrysler, the financing affects not only the interest, but incentives and cash back allowances that the dealer in question is offering and it happened to me. I'm not trying to be an ahole, but some people do not see investments in the form of money alone and 100$ may seem like to some what 1000$ is to others. Even if someone does exaggerate the price of their truck...why rain on them?

I don't know how you were raised or who taught you finance but go and resell anything or look up a vehicle on KBB,trade it in and so on.etc.Taxes,financing is NOT the purchase price.Buy a home, same thing. It may seem like it is but its not. The seller dosen;t give a rat what the money to buy his item at his price cost you or not.The seller does not care if you get money at 0% or 25% from the loan shark in the next neighborhood. As far as raining on someone who exaggerates the price he paid for a vehicle oh well. Its done everyday on many car/truck forums.95% of the readers know the truth.Same with exaggerated fuel mileage claims. It stands out blatantly.Someone always calls their hand on that one.
