Power Mirrors
So, it has been 3 weeks since I bought my 19 RAM Laramie and couldn't be happier. One thing I did not check while test driving and looking over the vehicle were the mirrors. I noticed the other day that the driver mirror had a little wiggle in it so I pressed the button to close the mirrors and they closed but I heard something like the gearing was missing a tooth or something. When I pressed the button again to open them they both opened the passenger side was perfect locked immediately but the driver side seem to lock, then popped then tried to lock again then popped and finally locked. Question is has anyone taken one of these apart and checked the gears. A new one is $400...not sure I want to spend the money just yet.

I never really had much success with 'fixing' power mirrors..... parts generally aren't available individually..... and most folks that service 'em, if something is not working properly, they replace the entire mirror....
That's kinda what I was thinking. I'll get to it later. It is more of a OCD thing with me just knowing it does it. It will lock in place just, I know it's not right and every time I look in the mirror it's a reminder.
