Angry Engine identification help

I have a 2021 ram 1500 classic with a 5.7 Hemi, I purchased it used at a dealership as a certified vehicle and I recently was under the vehicle and noticed the engine looked older then it should, when I looked at the numbers on the engine it showed a number that doesn't pull up online or in the system at parts from dealerships. The only thing i got from one dealer was it looks like a 2017 code. Please help me to identify this engine.

the number is 68299711EA.

Thank you

5.7 Hemi, MDS and VVT theoretically. Looks like the engine has various iterations, as I see a good collection of 'revisions number" (last two letters of the part number) online. Looks like they used 'em from around 2013 on.

Well, the part number is correct for size, and year, from what the truck came with from the factory, but, is it THE engine that was installed at the factory? No way to know. Have to chat with dodge about that one.

As a certified vehicle I would assume you got a car fax, and at 3 years of age I would assume an engine if replaced, was done under warranty., what's the mileage? That information would be published on a Carfax report wouldn't it? At the very least mopar warranty service would have record of it.

How do you consider visibly looked older? Rust? Corrosion?

A better help would be finding a date of manufacture stamp, almost every part on the engine will be stamped in some way will a date clock or Julian date code for manufacturing, of course parts are stored in house for months or sometimes years before use. however finding a 2017 date stamp would be fairly unlikely if it is indeed a 21 motor
