Neither of those are working for me. Don't know if the VINs are bad, or the site is having issues.

This is the vin for one. I tried that site too and just keeps saying there is an error. 🤔

That's what I got as well.... Wonder if the site just doesn't do the heavier trucks..... What year are they?

The one with the pictured VIN is a 2022, the other is a 2021.

They should be AAM 12" axles.

Thanks. The dealer says the 4X4 5500 has a 4.44 ratio and the 2x4 5500 has a 4.89. The 4.44 is dying and I've pulled the engine for the 2x4 truck because a bad lifter broke the push rods in the 6th cylinder and will be a while before I can put it back together. Question is if I can replace the 4.44 with the 4.89?

Sure, the speedo won't be right, and the ABS *may* whine about it..... but, do NOT use 4x4 with mismatched gear ratios. That gets expensive right quick.

Whats the problem with the original rear? If it's just bearings, those are easy enough to replace.

Got you on the 4x4, guess I could disconnect the transfer case but will get a new 4.44 rear end since I can't afford the down time to rebuild it in case we run into a snag. Not sure what's going out in it except it's whining louder and louder by the week. Any recommendations for sourcing a rebuilt differential.

Ouch..... If there is a truck shop in the area, I would be more tempted to take it to them, tell 'em to fix it, then write 'em a check...... Probably only be down for a day or three, and it'll be a LOT cheaper that replacing the entire rear.
