Hello All,

I have a 1996 Dodge Ram 1500 Single Cab 6 foot bed 5.2 V8.

I just put a new motor in it the motor has 93,000 miles and the truck it self has around 133,703. The motor I put in runs 100% nothing wrong with it has all kinds of new stuff.

New:
Sparks Plugs and Wires
Valve cover gaskets
160 degree Thermostat
Thermostat gasket
Upper and lower radiator hose
Oil filter
Exhaust manifold gasket
Crankshaft sensor
Distributor cap and rotor
Distributor puck up disc
Serpentine belt
Different pulleys are new
Oil pres gauge.
Temp gauge not hooked up yet.
I’m sure there is more that I am forgetting.
Tires are in good shape.
Head unit with removable face plate with cd player.
It is a Mark 3 Edition Has leather seats and mark 3 rims. The truck is all black, does have scratches and the hood is faded.
Brakes are almost new all the way around.
Has dual exhaust sounds really good going down the road

Extra parts:
Have a head with intake
Fuel rail and injectors
Alternator
Oil pan and gasket
Have the old block but not sure if anything can be done with it
I’m sure I have a lot more just can not think of it right now but I have just about everything from the old motor.


Now for the bad:
It needs a transmission. The truck runs and drives but there is no 3rd gear. I was told 2 different things the first thing is maybe replacing the filter for the Trans could help. But I was told that almost 95% sure that it is just the Transmission bands that need to be adjusted.

Did dodge make a Mark 3? I'm pretty sure thats a Chevy thing, or a conversion van thing... I could be wrong.

 

Yea, your asking too much for that ram.... Maybe ask for 2100 or somthing like that and you might get interrest.

 

it is the mark 3 with leather interior..(I wouldnt say the asking price a great deal but possibly fair...... and rebuilt trannys can be found for as little as 750 bucks...(I know you likely get what you pay for) But still if thats all thats wrong your looking at decent truck for under 5K and that if its not just a bad transducer,pressure soleniod or speed sensor which could all cause the 3rd gear not to funtion properly as well as a band being out of adj. and depending on condition of the body/ interior

Maybe he wants us to see it. It could still be the bands; but I don't know why he wouldn't just fix them.

 

Yea i figured that but every other time someone posts something for sale here they usually get scolded and its moved to where it should be...If someones looking for a truck the for sale section would be the logical place to look right?

 

God guys really? Yeah a 260 degree Thermostat. Im just trying to give detail's about what is in the truck. And the Mark 3 is on Vans but it is a conversion for my truck it has mark 3 leather seats mark 3 wood dash mark 3 rim. The reason i am not going to fix it is because i am moving to New Jersey and dont have the time for it and would just like to sell it. The truck is deff worth more then that. If the tranny was fixed the truck would run and drive prefect. But thank you all for looking
