Default 2ndgen Ram Air Hat: Magnum Engines

I fabbed a Ram Air box from two stock Dakota airboxes. I painted it black wrinkle, along with the mounting hardware.

If you want to do this with your Magnum power car/truck:

Here is everything you get:

Ram Air Hat
Bent threaded bar for offset throttle bodies
Scoop mounting brackets and self tapping stainless steel screws
Ram Air Scoops
K&N 9.75x3 air filter
Vinyl tubing for the scoops to create a tight seal

Closeup of box:

Hardware:

The little black circle thing is to ensure that the top of the airhat is airtight. You put that on after you get the lid on but before you put the wing nut on and tighten.

This airbox can give .5-1.0 lbs of boost at 75 MPH depending on your engine (Higher displacement, the lower the boost will be)

Cost, $100 plus shipping.

So is it still available? My brother might be interested...

Why are you selling it anyways? You just built it...Or what needs to be fixed to make 100% perfect?

oh, I am selling it because the tubes are a really tight squeeze and i don't have the patience to set aside a whole day for fitment.

However, I am going to hold off on selling it because I think I can use it if I get about 3 inches of PVC pipe to use as an extension so i have more room to work with. Or even get some aftermarket tubing.

I just thought this was a "slap on" type mod, but it takes some doing to get the fitment perfect. Took so long to fab up, that I just wanted it on there.

yeah, and I saw a chrome one on ebay for 70 bucks new (WITH a cloth filter). But this one does not include the plumbing or filter, so I decided to go to a junkyard and get some stock parts. It was 60 bucks for 2 stock air hats WITH the plumbing (scoops). And it is not plastic. Plus, that 1.2 inch drop base would make you need to get a spacer.

It is a lot more money to do that setup. Might as well get the spectre system from Jegs for 99 bucks (does not include filter though)
