I saw these exactly ONCE. I passed a Durango on the highway with them and they looked killer. They weren't Euro. They were exactly like stock, just made from clear plastic. I would also like a set fro my '04 Dakota if anyone knows where to get them.

I can't find them either, I would kill for a set of those
as for the legality, they are legalIf your bulbs are the right color, some areas require reflectors but on that issue you should check with your local law enforcement facility

If you've got red bulbs, and red reflectors somewhere on the back, you're most likely ok with the law.

Red bulbs arent legal everywhere.

Really is it worth risking being rear ended? Seen a bunch where their brake lights were nearly invisible during the day. Taillights were made red for a reason.

Here check these out, they are perfectly clear. May want to pick up some blinker fluid while you are there.

If anybody bought those, they'd deffinetly be looking at getting rear ended. I've been looking around and found some clear lenses you can see, but they are for the Dodge Ram. Here's a pic of it, again it's for the Ram though.

This is from Chapter 90, Section 7 of the General Laws of Massachusetts (concerning tail and brake lights). I've read it several times and have no idea if clear tail lights, with the appropriate colored bulbs, are legal.

"Every motor vehicle and trailer so operated shall be equipped with two rear lights mounted one at each side of the rear of the vehicle so as to show two red lights from behind and a white light so arranged as to illuminate and not obscure the rear number plate and shall be equipped with two stop lights mounted and displayed in a like manner of a type complying with minimum standards for construction and performance as the registrar may prescribe; provided, however, that a two-wheeled motorcycle, an antique motor car and a farm tractor need be equipped with only one such rear red light and one suitable stop light in addition to the number plate illuminator; and provided, further, that a trailer having a gross weight of three thousand pounds or less which does not obscure the required lights of the towing vehicle need be equipped with only one such rear red light and one white light so arranged as to illuminate and not obscure the rear number plate."

Don'cha just love how laws are written? This is ONE single sentence. [sm=huh.gif]

For the first time ever, I'm actually impressed with the MA RMV. They responded quickly to my request for information, first with an email, then with a follow-up phone call. I just wasn't happy with the answer... Red bulbs are not legal in MA. Clear lenses are OK if they are DOT approved and have red reflectors behind the lens.
