Default wiring

im trying to hook up a line out converter need wire diagram. 07 dodge ram 1500 with 7 speaker sirius 6 disk system. please help..

This is all I have on the 07 ... Dunno if this is enough to get your line convertorhooked up


Battery GRAY/LIGHT GREEN (+) RADIO HARNESS
Accesory THE RADIO HARNESS DOES NOT PROVIDE A SWITCHED POWER SOURCE.
RUN A WIRE TO THE FUSEBOX FOR SWITCHED POWER.
THE ACCESSROY TURN-ON AND AMPLIFIER TURN-ON ARE CONTROLLED BY THE CLASS 2 SERIAL NETWORK.
Ground BLACK/LIGHT GREEN (-) RADIO HARNESS
LF Speaker (+) GRAY/VIOLET
LF Speaker (-) GRAY/YELLOW
RF Speaker (+) DARK GREEN/VIOLET
RF Speaker (-) DARK GREEN/YELLOW
LR Speaker (+) DARK GREEN/TAN
LR Speaker (-) DARK GREEN/GRAY
RR Speaker (+) DARK GREEN/BROWN
RR Speaker (-) YELLOW/GRAY
Steering Cntrls OPTIONAL

also i wondered if i have to hook it up from the radio or from the stock amp behind glovebox? i hope just from the radio

Either will work or even can do it off the rear speakers(assuming you are running another sub)

there is two harnesses going into the radio one is small and the other is large. I unplugged the small harness and it seems to be only for the sirius.; Now on the large harness there is only 10 wires and they are as follows..

black
black/green
gray/blue x
gray/orange x
green/orange x
green/blue x
white
white/orange
dark gray/red x
dark gray/maroon x

i do know that i got sound out of they ones with an X. But im not sure which speakers they are for or + and -

Those colors dont make sense, are you sure the "orange" stripes, werent yellow?

this is what i found...

i hooked up the line converter but for some reason when the volume is turned way down alll i can hear is the subs and not anything else. When i turn up the volume the subs don't put out much bass.

also i put the amp turn on lead to the fuse panel for the radio but i noticed the amp stays on all the time. Is there a better place in the fuse panel to put it?
