All new speaker wires?
I was all set to order a new head unit from Crutchfield to replace my stock Infinity head unit. Just before I finished adding it to my shopping cart, a message popped up and said that I would need to bypass the factory amplifier by running all new speaker wires to the speakers. I did an online chat with a sales rep and she told me that is what needed to be done. Does this seem correct? Why can't I just use the wiring harness that comes with the new unit? Isn't that the point of an adapted wiring harness?
What are my options then? I'd rather not have to run all new speaker wires. These are the features of the head unit that I want.

U will be fine. Those factory Amps will not create too big of a problem if you get the right Install kit... For future reference, always buy Metra. They are the best and I've never had problems installing with them Ever. Scosch sometimes works, Best Buy/Walmart brand is best kept out of any install in my experience... They often use shotty wires or dont have good connects on them.
Good luck on the install you should be fine provided u follow the directions and add that metra kit

Yeah, you don't need to bypass anything. You do on some amplified systems, but not in your truck.

I'm telling you it WILL work.Done many. Something's wired wrong. Is there a Blue/white wire on the headunit? If so, it needs to be hooked to that one. Normally Blue= power antenna Blue/White= remote/amp turn-on. But if there is only a solid blue, then that's the right one.
