Default Stereo Help

OK... i have an after market stereo system in my 96 neon, it stopped working a while ago. I checked fuses, and changed them all, still nothing. I checked to make sure there was power to the system and there is and it is also grounded, still nothing. I rewired in a new stereo, light tested the power supply that hoooks in to the back of the stereo itself is grounded and getting power, but it still isnt turning on. I'm out of ideas... any help would be awesome
thanks in advanced

should have one that says batt that keeps info from your head unit when you shut car down, should alwyas be hot. The other main one you should check is the accesory wire, this is only hot when your key is turned to 2nd position

Check a 10 amp fuse(red) in a grey casing in the fuse box under the hood.

did you plug the antenna in? alot of dodges actually use the antenna as a ground and will not cut on without the antenna plugged in to the radio

Not true, dodges use a seperate wire or strap as the ground, most people just don't hook them up and the antenna is then the ground. Maybe on old old ones, but not anything recent.

you are correct and i guess i should have clarified a little, i have worked on several 90's model dodges and earl 00's and alot of the ones i have seen with aftermarket h/u already instaled, they had cut the strap and wondered why it wouldnt work. so i would have torun a seperate ground.
