Default Quick speaker question

I want to install a pair of kickers in the front doors and have one quick question...

Do I have to buy an adapter to hook into the existing stock wire plastic piece, or can I just cut that plastic piece off and hook the wires directly to the speakers?

Thanks,
Shane

I've never looked for adapters, i've always cut them off and soldered. ** Almost forgot, heat shrinked afterwards

If Your Going To Install Nice Speakers... it Really Needs To Be Amped.. And If Its AMPED. You Do NOT Want To Use Your Old Speaker Wire.

I Would Reccomend Running New Speaker Wire..

Its All Clean In A Sealed Loom, And Grommeted.

I Installed Boston Acoustic Componets. And It Was A LOT Cleaner With New Wire.

Hope That Helps.

They do make adaptors...you dont have to have them. I wouldnt worry about the speaker wire unless you plan on running say 70rms or more to them.
