$2,500.00 system
ORIGINAL: P.B.
Here are the specs right from the factory for the speaker you have. I don't know who the @$$ is trying to ***** up my post to make it look like I don't know what I am talking about. Of all the things I posted he is crapping on a spec. Why is he saying that the frequency I posted is way too low? Here is the factory specs and my suggustion falls in between there min. & max. rating. You are going to want to hit @ a lower frequency to get a strong vibration instead of your sub punching real hard and displacing tons of air at once like a higher frequency.

You are obviously not informed enough, or have not developed a full understanding of audio frequencies or car audio installations and settings.
As far as sub-bass frequencies, you obviously don't want to crossover too high. But, WHY would you crossover so so low, like 35hz? Even 50hz? You will have a HUGE gap in frequency response, the gap will depend on how low the frequncy goes on some ****ty coaxials...or if you actually get some components.
So, according to the specs you listed...the subs have response up to 200hz. I'd NEVER cross a sub over that high, but what I am saying...is to have a smoother transition and not have the gap in frequency response i'd cross th sub over @60-80hz lowpass! Also, at higher frequencies...subs don't replace more air...way to go! (tho this is more dependent on the enclosure, port size, port tuning, and frequency played!)
AND, on a side note...the advice given thus far in this entire thread...is only half right. There's a lot of opinion and bull**** spewn.
SO, if you want REAL help...and want a GREAT audio system, come over to www.caraudio.com/vb or hit me up on aim: ngbd13 and I can help you out and save you money! I could help you lay out a system that would be at least twice as good, for the same amount of money. No, insult was meant by anything I've said. peace

PS: the SOUL reason I came to this board was to help out on the Audio aspect. It's my hobby/obsession/career!
so i've talk to my car audio salesman, and we are going with the top of the line diamond audio's for my components...we're also gonna try shoving some 6.5 components in the rear where the 6x9"s come standard.
as for the amp, diamond audio or arcaudio 100watt x 4. wish me luck...

I thought that the 6 speaker system has 6X9s in the doors. I have seen a thread somewhere the R/T owner replaced the stock BA 6X9 in the doors with 6.5" using the plastic speaker holder from an SXT like in mine. I know the tread ended awhile ago, what did you finf inthe doors? 6.5" or 6X9?
hey i checked out ur website. the install looks great!
seems like a lot of ppl are going with the 2 10"s in the back.
thats the best looking set up i've seen.
however, i got a great deal on 2 800 watt amps and 2 12s...
so i'm gonna have to do some rear firing subs.
how does it sound? are you happy with the install?
do you have an instant messenger? i'd like to ask you some questions about ur install.
i got the last of my gear last night, and i'm sooooo excited!!!!!!

I love the sound. Low power around 500w total. Sorry about not answering sooner, but I am military and gone every third week. The best way to ask any questions is here. This way I can try to answer even if gone. Plus some of the answers may help someone else. I will be checking the forum daily, if nto multiple times daily, until the 6th of April. Then I go back out for a week.
