Default finally installed my foxbox...

yup i finally installed it, i traded my 10"s kicker comps straight up for the same comp 12"s that are the same age(new) and were not beat on at all my wifes dad had them....its all bolted down and sounds good not as loud as i want it but in due time ill upgrade the woofers as i have something else wrong and need to address that before i start spending more money ...that may become expensive...well i know how the pic ****'s are so keep the icons at home....you get one....and only one....

Good deal, I know you've been wanting to finish that install for a while. Looks good.

I have to say if you even went to the kicker cvr's you would get a lot more perfomance than the regular comps. The comps call for only 150 rms while the cvr's call for 400 rms. You will probably need to get a new amp but once you get the subs and the amp you already have a nice box so you would be set. And trust me, I just put in the kicker cvr's last year and I already want something new. Spent $700 on everything and its just not as loud as I want it. Now I want two 15"s and I'm sure once I get those I will want more. Thats the problem with audio, you can never get as loud as you want because you always want more.

^^^ mine is loud enough when i cant hear the person next to me without yelling. Theres really no reason to go beyond that. You're just gonna make yourself deaf when you're older

Looks good. Although I have the infinity sound system in my truck, here lately I have been thinking of upgrading. But today I looked at a Kenwood double-din with all the goodies and got a bit scared off.....$1100 for a head unit - ouch!!

Ok I agree with you its loud enough, BUT I am a 19 year old college kid who always wants it to be louder. Plus perminant hearing loss starts around 160 db, two un-ported 12"s will not hit 160 very easily, especially when in such a small under the seat enclosure. I do agree when you have to yell at the person sitting right next to you that is pretty loud but when that gangster pulls up beside you at a red light in his POS whatever they are driving bumping some 12"s in a prefab box with the biggest crappiest amp they can pair them up to, not worrying about what the subs call for or anything like that, the whole car rattling, it feels SO AMAZING to out bump him so well that he looks over at you and just gaughks because all that noise is coming from a regular cab truck. Try it sometime, then you will never say its loud enough again lol

trust me i know that i want a better sub i have another problem right now and they have been put on the back burner for the time being...as stated in my first post im sure ill be settling on the alpine type r,i think....as far as 2 12 in a small enclosure hitting high db levels you best go to you tube or check out some local competitions....yes the fox requires the rear seats to be lifted i used a 3/4 inch spacer under the seats i like the looks they have a nice clean appearance and im sure perform well even though i have a small wattage set of speaks in it right now....cant complain for a even trade .....
