I am looking into getting this radio from crutchfield ( http://www.crutchfield.com/p_158GT64...ab=other_items ) A few reasons I like this H/U. 1. Price 2. I will finally have a working cd player 3. ipod and thumb drive compatibility 4. I can buy the adapter so i can keep my steering wheel controls.
Thoise that have replaced their door speakers with new ones. What did you go with? Any problems with fits?

6x9's in the front, and 6.5's in the rear. Everyone's ears are different so see if you can hear the way some sound before you buy em. I chose some pioneer's for the front and some Memphis for the rear. I chose mine based on how they would sound without an amp, since I didnt want to go that route. As far as fitment goes, most 6x9s will plunk right in the doors, if you opt for some fancy ones your gonna have to make sure the depth is right. The rears are made for 5 1/4" speakers, but 6.5 fit right in no prob, although I had to drill one hole for a screw and used two factory holes.

AWE_ thanks for the info. I will probably just go with something "normal" and not super expensive. The guy that had the truck before me had a system in it (amp, subs etc) and a few of the speakers sound like junk.
I have some fuzziness coming from the upper dash speakers? Hard to replace?

I spent like 30 seconds looking. Crutchfield is usually more expensive than many other places. I would do some searching online and call around to local shops. You can probably find it cheaper and get the adapter from the same place if you look around.
