I bought a double din head unit yesterday to install in my truck after hooking it up i came to find out that it wouldnt slide in to the hold that my factory radio was in. Any suggestions?

 

Is this on a 96? That's bit of work to make fit. First, the radio bezel need to be made larger and then if the dash hole isn't large enough, you'll have to do some customizations. I believe I seen one a while back where the guy moved the heat/AC controls up and put the radio down lower.
Your best bet is to get a din-1/2 or a single din that's a flip out.

You need to purchase a Navigation bezel online or through your clocal dealer. There are few options. Woodgrain, slate gray, Khacki colored bezels. Dealer got me for $140. Ebay sells them for $115ish. HERE Fitment is perfect and looks factory.

Or you can cut yours but that will look terrible.
