Default air space under seat

So I would like to put 1 12" sub under my rear seats. Does anybody know what the total air space is under the seat from side to side? I understand that it will need to built using fiberglass. Also it depends on how high above the top of storage area you go. I just want a rough air space so that I can decide if its worth it for the sub I have. Thank you

I don't think so. I went into one of the car audio shops around here today and it just happens that they had a truck like mine with a 12 under the seats and it sounded pretty sweet

you an apply active EQ to a sub. If the V/C is of sufficient structure then a L/T (Linkwitz Transform) circuit can be used to trade extension for output. An LT "fools" the driver into thinking it is in a different sized box by changing (in this case, lowering) the total system 'Q", Hoffman's iron rule still applies, but it's nothing that a well designed driver and excessive power can't overcome - but you'll still end up with the output of a 10" from your 12" this way.
