6.5" speakers in rear of QC RAM
I know the stock size speakers are 5.25", and I replaced them with Infinity 5.25", but I am not satisfied with the output of this setup. I know a lot of you have installed 6.5" speakers in the rear doors, and 6x9's in the front, so I'm thinking about moving my 6.5" Infinity speakers to the rear doors and purchasing 6x9 3-way Infinity reference speakers for the fronts. How difficult was it to retrofit the 6.5" speakers for the rear doors? Also, I know I will need a spacer for the front 6x9 because of the shallow depth, but my factory speakers did not have a spacer. Did everyone fabricate the front spacer, or what's the best suggestion for going about that?
I really love my music, but I can't say I'm an audiophile or anything like that. For those of you with more knowledge on the subject than I, how would you rate the OEM Kicker 6x9 compared to the Infinity reference 6x9? Keep in mind I'm only looking for excellent mids and highs from the door speakers, as I am eventually adding subs under the rear seats. I will also be adding the Alpine MRP-F300 amp for the door speakers.

Back OT, anyone wanna chime in on the questions I've raised? I'm beginning to think this section gets far less traffic than the RAM specific section LoL

I cant speak too much on depth issues on the front because I added Kicker 6.6s in both my front and rear doors. I took twe old clip boards and use that material to make plates for my 6.5s to fit the 6x9 holes in the front. I used a sheet of MDF and make trim rings to mount my 6.5s in the rear doors.
