OPINION- Who makes the best mono amp?
I doubt there is an answer to this question.
A sound competitor is like a drag racer, his opinion only counts if this is what your doing.
An installer might have an opinion if they have researched this and not just plugged them in. They also don't spend the money for the equipment!
A normal use person such as myself will tell you what ever they have used and thus has no large data base to be non-biased.
Then there is the best is what? Best may cost several thousands of $s?
Best bang for the buck?
Best is probably what are the better amps out there and not the worst or mediocre.
Rockford fosgate. At least this is my biased opinion. One of many better amps.
I like 2 channel bridged amps for mono. Why? because in the future I might have a use for it. I might not for a mono amp.

Rockford was my first choice too. But i was kinda wondering if there was an awesome amp out there that noone really would expect it from or that, like you said, is the most bang for your buck.
Rockford?? Come on guys. Maybe if you like engine noise coming thru your subs. There are a ton of amps out there that work great. 3 of my favorites are KICKER, MTX, and Sony. I guarantee you get more bang for your buck with those 3. I design sound systems for boats for a living so I promise you will get sharp, crisper, and clearer sound out of any of the 3 I mentioned over a Rockford any day of the week. But if you truly like the sound it produces keep it. Music is heard best thru the equipment that sounds the best to your ears.

I've never heard anything through a rockford amp besides what i wanted to hear. I have an MTX amp and its good just like the rockford. Maybe you shouldn't wrap your rca's around your power wire if you have all that motor noise you think you hear.
