Default no bass

Recently I have found that when listening to a cd or the radio that I can hear that bass in the song, but sometimes the subs are not hitting when they are supposed to, there is just words. I've checked for loose connections, but there were none and the problem still exists. Any ideas? I am running a 1000 watt memphis amp to 2 12 inch kicker subs.

Sounds like you have the bandpass filter set to High Pass (HP) instread of Low Pass (LP).

I just went out to check, but there isnt a switch. Instead I saw 4 yellow things. A plus left, minus left, plus right and minus right. I played around with them but it didnt seem to be doing anything. Here is a pic of the amp:

This are just inputs if you used the high speakers out of the HU instead of the RCA's

The X Over is what you are looking for, turn is counterclock way to have the lower freqs go through and block the higher freqs. Adjust to the desired sound

Those are just inputs if you used the high speakers out of the HU instead of the RCA's. The yellow push tabs are to lock the wire in. You push in to release the locking mechanism in the hole, then stick the wire in and the release the button to lock in place.

Went back out and turned the X-over counterclockwise a couple of ticks so now the line is sitting pretty much vertical. I listened to it for about 5 minutes with the bass and volume pretty loud and it didnt cut out once. Thanks for the advice!
